Senior Business Development Manager
Description
ME Law Professional Corporation is a Toronto-based litigation firm specializing in estate, real estate, and corporate/commercial disputes. Our practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters. As part of our continued development, we are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to support the firm’s client development and strategic growth initiatives.
This is a senior role with the potential to evolve into an executive-level position within the firm.
Position Overview
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that support the firm’s client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s leadership team and marketing professionals to identify opportunities for expanding the firm’s client base, strengthening referral networks, and enhancing the firm’s market presence.
This role is best suited for an experienced business development professional who understands professional services environments, thrives in a results-oriented setting, and is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the firm’s objectives
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients, referral sources, and strategic partners
- Manage and maintain the firm’s CRM systems and business development pipelines
- Track and report on key business development metrics and performance indicators
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams on campaigns, events, and brand initiatives
- Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, and professional conferences
- Assist with client onboarding processes and relationship management initiatives
- Prepare regular reports and strategic insights for senior leadership
Qualifications
- 4–8+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably within the legal or professional services sector
- Demonstrated success in developing B2B relationships and generating new business opportunities
- Experience managing CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and sales pipelines
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with professional services organizations such as law firms, consulting firms, or financial services firms is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Law, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications are an asset)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $80,000 – $130,000, depending on experience
